A WOMAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AFTER HER MOTHER'S BODY WAS FOUND IN A FREEZER

A woman has been arrested after her mother's body was
found in a freezer sold at a garage sale.
Marcella Jean Lee, 56, sold the freezer to a neighbour for
$30 (£23), police in Goldsboro, North Carolina said.
Ms Lee allegedly told the buyer that the appliance was
being used as a "time machine" and that it should not be
opened.
Police said that the neighbour was also told that the
contents of the freezer, which was taped shut, would be
collected by Ms Lee's friends.
Three weeks later the buyer opened the fridge and found
the body of Ms Lee's mother, Arma Roush.
A post-mortem examination concluded that the 75-year-
old died of natural causes.
Ms Lee has been charged with failure to report a death,
Goldsboro Police said.
After the remains were discovered, the buyer told WNCN
that Ms Lee claimed she was moving to West Virginia to
be with her mother.
The buyer said: "A church was supposed to come pick up
the items inside the freezer.
"I was supposed to get the freezer back.
"The church never came, I decided to open it."
At the time of the discovery the freezer was plugged in and
sitting in the buyer's spare bedroom, WRAL reports.
Ms Roush lived with her daughter and was last seen alive
in August 2015, police said.
