HOW TO TELL IF FRUITS ARE ORGANIC OR NOT

ITS QUITE EASIER WHEN IT HAS A STICKER
When it comes to produce, it's pretty easy to know what you're getting. Those annoying stickers that we've all undoubtedly bit into at one time or another actually have a purpose for the consumer. They're not just an opportunity for Chiquita to strike a pose, though I thank her for making bananas a little bit more fun

IT ALL LIES IN THE NUMBERS :
4 digits indicate that it's your basic, conventionally grown piece of produce (grown with chemical fertilizers, fungicides, or herbicides).

5 digits beginning with a 9 indicate that it's organic (no synthetic flavors, colors, sweeteners, most preservatives, toxic or long-lasting pesticides and fertilizers, or genetic engineering).

5 digits beginning with an 8 indicate that it's genetically modified.

So there you have it, one instance when labels are a good thing!
Keep in mind, the stickers are voluntary so it's a rare occasion to see a fruit or vegetable boasting that it's genetically modified.

NOTE : For example, #94011 is the code for an organic yellow banana.
